Artificial intelligence has emerged as the next problem solver for productivity and innovation in almost every field. That is reshaping all industries globally. When all enterprises harness AI’s power, the B2B marketing landscape is also getting enriched by AI’s dynamic nature. Utilizing AI and ML, marketers automate their marketing procedures and add more intelligence to their marketing plans. In addition, AI-powered technologies and tools are helping organizations to have precise predictions and make better decisions.

Role of AI in B2B Marketing

Many people look at Artificial Intelligence as a fool’s paradise, as the involvement of machines and automation in every field can kill the existence of human efforts. However, contrary to this, AI can be a savior for many people as it is not killing human actions but ameliorating the value of human intelligence. So, let’s find out how B2B marketing enthusiasts are changing the world by implementing AI at various levels.

Gartner reports that 75% of enterprises will shift from piloting to operationalizing AI, causing a 5X increase in streaming data and analytics infrastructure.

In my understanding & experience, I have defined 5 ways to use AI tool in B2B marketing.

1) Utilize AI in Marketing for Repetitive tasks

One of the most prevalent uses of AI in sales and marketing is chatbots for customer service and lead generation. Any non-specialist can even relate to it, as in our day-to-day life, we see how companies are lessening their human work by using chatbots. According to research, chatbots have helped businesses worldwide save over $8 billion annually by 2022 — by taking over mundane human tasks and decreasing the need to hire big teams for jobs that interact with customers.

2) AI tool are much better at competitor analysis:

Knowing competition and competitors in the market is one of the foundational cornerstones for any enterprise looking forward to increasing business. By understanding the competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, any organization can position its brand or product in the market or make a strategy to penetrate it. Artificial Intelligence tools help companies to monitor competitors’ pages or analyze product rates. Tools like Similar Web, SpyFu, SEMRush can give you an idea about what your competitors are doing and what you can do to go ahead in the race. If there is a ton of data to evaluate, competitive intelligence enabled by AI can even make it possible to forecast competitors’ upcoming moves.

3) Harness the power of AI to Monitor & Automate the digital marketing:

A few tools like Content King can help you keep an eye on your website. When there is an information-rich website, having a continuous update on it is a daunting task. Moreover, when teams work in silos, there arise communication gaps. In such scenarios having an AI tool can help you notice if there is any change in the robot.txt file or sitemap. Enterprises also leverage AI to automate the processes like running newsletters, managing campaigns, analyzing responses, etc. Being aware of these benefits, B2B marketers have started making most of the AI tools available in the market.

4) AI tools are best at self learning & automating task:

Because lead generation requires so much human labor and takes so much time, automation in this area is a potent business process optimizer. With AI, marketers can focus more on leveraging the data to apply strategic approaches rather than manually collecting it. Data collection, management, and analysis are among the biggest challenges for any organization. AI can do wonders by automating these processes and increasing the number of leads. In addition, AI aids in capturing pretty accurate and real-time data, which humans may have overlooked, to get more leads. Tools like , AutoRules in Google Adwords (CPA campaign), AutoReports in Google Analytics, Similar Audience functionality in LinkedIn Paid Campaign can ease the life of a B2B Marketer for day to day operations.

5) Power of AI to simplify SEO:

AI-powered SEO tools like Semrush, SurferSEO, or Copy.AI help businesses with keyword research and support them by giving ideas about new content and trending topics. One such talk-of-the-town tool is ChatGPT which was rolled out in November 2022 by OpenAI and is a fine-tuned chatbot that engages human-like dialogues by flipping through numerous web pages online. It quickly got an explosive response, achieving 1 million users within a few days.

Challenge :

The biggest challenge in adopting AI is that 76% of CEOs are still skeptical of its potential and biased toward its transparency. But, no doubt, the data worldwide is perpetually increasing, and it is assumed to grow  61% to 175 zettabytes by 2025, making the support of AI and ML inevitable.

Though there is still resistance among the companies’ decision makers who are not convinced to invest in these tools, early movers will undoubtedly have more benefits reaping one of the most revolutionary technologies of the century that can metamorphosis the way B2B marketing companies work.

What’s Next :

I personally feel that, 2023 will be a year of AI tools in Marketing. There is a thin line between utilize & spam. As long as we ask a fundamental question – “How this is helping me as a user?” and if we have the answer that logically correct and helps to solve problem in a better, cheaper & faster way, we can embrace these tools to our advantage.
